What the assessment measures

Breast base width, which sets the widest implant the chest can carry without visible edges or distortion; tissue pinch thickness, which decides how much coverage the implant will have; nipple position relative to the inframammary fold, which determines whether a lift is also needed; skin quality and elasticity; chest-wall symmetry; and, where fat transfer is being considered, how much donor fat is available and where it sits.

What to bring

A list of your current medications, including anything that affects clotting; your weight history over the past two years; any previous breast imaging or surgery records; and a clear idea of what you want to change, described without reference to someone else's photograph. If you have been offered a plan elsewhere, bring it — reviewing it is a legitimate reason to book.

What happens if augmentation is not for you

You will be told, and given the operation that matches your problem: a lift where the issue is position, a reduction where it is weight and symptoms, or no operation at all where weight is unstable, a pregnancy is planned, or further assessment of the breast is needed first. That is a result rather than a rejection.

How to arrange it

Contact the outpatient line, or write through the address on the contact page, and say that you are asking about breast augmentation. If you are travelling from outside Chongqing, say so when you book: the team can tell you what can be done by remote consultation and what needs an in-person examination.
